Monkey

Monkeys do not have this kind of nose. Should've been two dots for nostrils. Think of this one as a monkey-dog hybrid and it'd be on point!

What I Used:
- Light cocoa candy melts
- Peach candy melts (orange and white)
- Peach jumbo confetti sprinkles (ears)
- Chocolate tootsie roll (nose)
- Edible black marker

Pig & Monkey v2

For Nhi to take to Daniel this weekend. Hopefully it will help fatten him up a little bit, hehe.

Who's this stinkin' cute kid?

- Chocolate tootsie roll (hair)
- Rainbow chip sprinkle (nose - totally unnecessary)
- White confetti sprinkles (eyes)
- Jumbo nonpareils (ears - totally unnecessary)

Family Guy

I have leftover cake balls from this weekend. Not sure when it happened, but no one seems to be a fan of red velvet anymore!

I still have six cake balls left. I am too much of a penny pincher to waste them and the kids don't really dig them, plus I HATE how it turns their mouths red - otherwise, I would've just made plain cake pops for them to eat.

Tony wanted Family Guy. I managed to make these in less than two hours (a record!) and only dropped two of them. Pretty good for a school night and with two nuoms running amok around me.

Brian is definitely my favorite. This again proves that I just cannot do human cake pops!

Pig & Monkey

My sister requested pig and monkey cake pops for her boyfriend, who introduced her to this video.

I did one better and made a monkey actually riding a pig. One regret - not knowing that the monkey was backward on the monkey, whilst riding it. Oh well... maybe next time!

What I Used:
- Pink candy melts
- Cherry tootsie roll (pig's face and tail, monkey's face and belly)
- Pink heart sprinkles (pig's ears)
- Pink confetti sprinkle (pig's snout)
- Licorice pastels (pig's feet, cut in half)
- Chocolate tootsie roll (monkey's body)
- Lemon tootsie roll (banana)
- Black edible marker

Lan & Kush

Lan and Kush sent out their wedding "save the date" thingys (what are those called anyway?) and they are too friggen cute. It has Kim written all over it.

I had extra cake balls and as I joke, I made the characters from the thingy.

No, Kush is really not that dark. But I already had cocoa melted and I really didn't want to dirty up another cup to melt a lighter shade of brown. I'm lazy! Haha, please stop calling me out.

What I Used:
- Orange, cocoa, and black candy melts
- Orange, chocolate, and vanilla tootsie rolls
- Black edible marker

The Lorax

Gianna's been asking for The Lorax cake pops. Bakerella made an awesome one and I tried to copy her version. The dip and build method is hard!

Meh, I tried and Gianna likes it so that's all that really matters :) Thank god she hasn't seen the movie yet because it saved me from doing the trees and the Bar-ba-loots. Maybe next time... (That's becoming my cake pop catch phrase, lol)

Bird

Forgot to post my bird with the rest of the farm animals. Requested by Chi who always seems to think way outside of the box.

Her justification: birds fly all over the farm - therefore, they are farm animals.

Twitter was a big influence for this cake pop.

I've been wanting to do these ever since I saw Bakerella's versions on her site. She is so good that sometimes Gianna and I just flip through her few cake pop blogs over and over again.

Probably the hardest fruit of the bunch to make. As Chi said, it has some major "lean on it."

Nhi loves Fruit Ninja. She wanted to buy herself an iPad for her birthday and Fruit Ninja was a major factor in her decision. She cray. For her birthday, I told her that I'd make her Fruit Ninja cake pops. And I did! A week after her birthday, lol.

Hey man, better late than never.
