Winnie the Pooh & Hunny Pot

Nana hasn't let me forget that I didn't make Pooh's hunny pot when I did my Winnie the Pooh cake pops a while back.

Black Pop with Sprinkles

To be efficient, I tested gold and blue sprinkles on each side of the cake pop. Neither really popped. Would have to use pearlized or bigger sprinkles (I just sprinkled sugar sprinkles here).

Masquerade Themed

Test cake pops for another coworker. I think her daughter is turning 18 and the theme is a masquerade ball.

Masks were really hard to shape. The blue paint was easy to paint with but still has not dried. Would definitely have to use chocolate to paint on the masks, should she decide to order cake pops.

The sprinkles did not show up on the black cake balls. Would try pearlized sprinkles next time.

Ugh, this one is terrible. I feel ashamed. Just ordered a candy mold with the insignia and hopefully I get it before Friday to figure out something different.

Daniel graduates from his training this weekend. Nhi requested Marine themed cake pops to take to him but I am not sure if it's going to happen. They have the most complicated logo. There's only so much I can do with a Tootsie Roll!

I don't like the way these turned out. I'll have to try a different method for the logo.

Oh and gold edible paint? Garbo. Doesn't dry so you can't bag the cake pop. Waste of money! Wonder if gold edible spray paint is any better. Too bad it's about $15 for a can. Who has that kind of money?!

Family Guy 2.0

I did Family Guy again for my friend's brother's birthday today. She's not even sure if he still likes Family Guy but she loved the way the cake pops turned out. They look much better without me trying to make them 3D.

The party was last night and the cake pops were a hit! She had enough for each kid to get one, yay!

My boss loves pugs. His son's birthday is coming up and he requested pugs. But I'm not sure his son likes pugs. So I suggested pugs riding BMX bikes. (His son is a pro BMX'er). I've got the pug part down. Now just gotta figure out the bike part...

Despicable Me Minions

So... I've been pretty adamant about not selling cake pops (too much pressure and whatnot). But I broke. I think because I'm going broke. Haha, kidding.

My very first order is for a 2nd birthday party - he loves the minions from Despicable Me!

I made two versions. After thinking about it, icing does not dry well on cake pops. So if I wanted to wrap these, I had to nix that idea. Also, licorice for hair just didn't look as cute. Other than that, both versions are pretty much the same.

Everyone is loving the "G" on the overalls. DTM. It's just how I roll.

These also took a tumble off the counter. Thanks Noah! LOL, I love him.

Nana is obsessed with "Ratatouille" right now. She went from hating it (seriously, like at the point of tears when you try to put it on) to referring to herself as Colette, Noah as Ratatouille and Tony as Gusteau. Me? I'm the Old Lady that she hates. Nice.

These lasted a good 30m before Noah came and knocked down the whole block of cake pops to the floor. That kid... I should seriously consider buying one of those redonks cake pop stands.

I used Marvel Mini Muggs toys as a guideline as to how to cake popperize the superheroes.
